Cloud Band Vest
The Cloud Band Vest draws inspiration from multiple sources; our materials are always our first point of contact with inspiration, as the natural predisposition of fibres define it’s ultimate purpose in our clothing development.
Originally, this design was made only with yarn from Disdero Ranch, a woman owned farm from the interior of BC with the goal of making a garment that is fully biodegradable.
Working with a spinning mill in the UK, we sourced a botanically dyed yarn range that is also fully biodegradable and expanded our colour range to Indigo Tile as well as our original 100% Canadian natural tone vest. Our botanically dyed colourway is made with indigo dye native to Peru, where our partners yarns are sourced and developed.
Our second point of inspiration was from a trip to Spain where we drew inspiration from the incredible tile work at Real Alacazar in Seville. The rich details captivated our inspiration and helped realize this tiled fair isle pattern. This vest is not only a practical approach to fibre, but an appreciation of detailed surface pattern development that combines Spanish and Arabic design.
Ethically made, easy to care for, and built to become a dependable wardrobe staple. Perfect for around the fire, a night on the balcony, or when that summer outfit just gets a little too breezy.
Made to Order.
Natural Colourway: 50/50 blend of corriedale and mohair. 100% Canadian yarn from Disdero Ranch in British Columbia, a woman owned farm with award winning wool run by a former veterinarian.
Indigo Colourway: 50% naturally dyed Merino Wool (Indigo Dye) from Peru x 50% Corriedale and Mohair blend from Disdero Ranch.
This yarn is best suited for protective outer layers. The Cloud Band Vest pairs well with lighter layers underneath, and is designed for the climate of a temperate rain forest.
Available in 1 size with custom sizing available upon request. This size is suited for many different body types, as well as unisex.
Made in Squamish. Rooted in nature and materials.
